ba llb ke 4thyear me upsc exam de sakte h kya??
Hello,
No, you cannot appear in fourth year of BA-LLB, the reason being BA-LLB is for a duration of five years, as per the eligibility criteria laid out by UPSC, candidates need to pass graduation in any discipline from a recognized university , there is no specific aggregate required in this case, candidates can also appear in the final year of graduation on provisional basis, hence you can appear in the final year of BA-LLB that is fifth year, but you have to make sure that you are able to show the proof of the qualifying examination within the stipulated time period as mentioned by concerned authority regarding this. UPSC exam is conducted in three phases mainly preliminary, mains and interview.
I am a student of class 9 please give me some hints and suggestions to start some preparations to be enable to crack upsc exam
Hi,
It is good that you are clear with your aim. But, it is too early now to start the UPSC CSE preparation. At this time, you can make your fundamentals strong. As UPSC generally involves humanities background, you can make your basics strong by opting for humanities background in class 11. However, it is not mandatory as such because there are many other students who clear this exam from non-humanities background. So, you can start your preparation once who are in your college.
which course is best to crack upsc exam?
If you are asking for the UG course which can be best for UPSC then I would say that there are no such so called course which is purely helpful for your UPSC exam. No UG course can help you that way. You have to prepare separately for the UPSC exam in order to crack it. Thus i would say choose any subject which you are interested in because if you are interested in the subject then you will feel less burden about your study and you can focus more on your UPSC preparation. Apart from this I would recommend yoh to go for general courses more than Honors courses as for hons course you have to invest more time in your UG course. But if you choose General course then you will have relatively less time investment in that course.
Now if you want to know a subject which can help you in your work life then here are some subjects:
- Public Administration
- Economics
- Legal Studies
- Criminology
But believe me every year a lot of aspirants becomes IAS without any prior knowledge of any of these except there GS studies and not in there UG course. So your selection doesnt depend on your UG course but on your preparation of exam itself. Also you will get enough trained as you join any service so dont worry about which will help you in your work life.

Hey,
Clearing the UPSC CSE test necessitates both smart and hard work. The UPSC CSE Syllabus is extensive, and having a decent IAS preparation method can help you complete it on time.
- A structured UPSC IAS preparation time-table can provide you with more clearness on how you should execute your UPSC IAS preparation - how fast you should be, what further time you have for each topic/subject, and just how much syllabus is left to cover. It will enable you to better plan your IAS preparation time.
- Select the standard books carefully. Don't forget to include NCERTs.
- Further, practice previous years questions and mock papers to get acquatain with the UPSC CSE exam pattern.
- Read Newspaper daily. Carve the notes out of the newspaper carefully. While writing current affairs, make comprehensive notes for prelims and mains also. This will cover both the aspects.

The prescribed syllabus for each paper is as follows

i want to prepare for upsc exam in my graduation, which degree is best ? i am science stream student, please suggest me!
Hello,
There is no such thing as best degree when it comes to appearing in UPSC exam, the reason being the eligibility criteria itself states candidates from any stream of graduation from a recognized university are eligible to apply, even final year students are also eligible , candidates need to attain 21 years as on 1st August of appearing year, now UPSC tends to be more humanities oriented in the sense if you look at the syllabus it's mostly comprised of humanities subject, so having a graduation in subjects like Political science, public administration, history, economics, geography etc help to a large extent ,because there is considerable overlap with general studies as well as optional subjects, now you can appear in UPSC with or without back up plan, so being a science student if you have aspirations in your field you can go ahead with this choice, the toppers of UPSC come from diverse backgrounds such as medicine, engineering, commerce etc, so as per your interest you can go ahead with whatever choice you have, remember that irrespective of the stream the diligence, single minded focus, dedication and perseverance remain the same for every UPSC aspirant.
there is an any marks criteria for sc/ST student who appear for upsc exam
Hi Swapnil!
There is no separate marking scheme for the students belonging to reserved category. But there is a reservation in the UPSC exam for the students belonging to reserved category in terms of the number of attempts, age relaxation, relaxation in IAS cutoff and the total number of seats. For example, the number of attempts for general category, EWS is 6 and forOBC is 9 and for sc/st students is unlimited upto age limit. Similarly, there is a huge difference in cutoff/closing ranks.
Thankyou!
