You can choose Urdu language as the medium of mains exam. Choose only if you have good command over Urdu. There is no problem in opting Urdu as a language as you must know Urdu is recognized as the second language of Bihar state. Language is never a barrier in any competitive examination its the knowledge and the representation matters a lot.

The eligibility criteria for SSC CHSL Exam is as follows:

• The SSC Age limit for the posts is 18-27 years.
• For LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO: The candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
• For Data Entry Operator (DEO) in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.

Eligibility for SSC CGL is:

• The age limit of SSC CGL for various posts is within 18 years to 32 years.
• Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute,Chartered Accountant or cost & Management Accountant  etc.
• Junior Statistical Officer : Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at the 12th standard level.
• All other Posts: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

As long as you completed your 12 board doesn't matter but it should be valid.

The eligibility criteria of MA Urdu encompassing Urdu as one of the compulsory paper in graduation varies among universities, for instance Delhi University/Banaras Hindu University etc, however Jawaharlal Nehru University has eligibility criteria of passed bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with 45% aggregate though you're required to have adequate proficiency in the language, so you have to check out the particular eligibility criteria for the same regarding the particular university,

As we know that Urdu Education Board has been recognized by National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions i.e authorized by government body .

So , yes you can go for any government exam after passing your  intermediate in this board. As the board is well known and authorized by government , there should be a issue something with the board while applying for the government jobs.
