Comparing two different colleges having almost the same growth is a bit difficult. So, as far as I know, that the infrastructure and campus of SRM are far better than that of VIT CHENNAI and accommodation is better for SRM because it is there in the main city. The VIT is new so the building and classrooms are better.

But the main concern is related to academics and placements so, VIT CHENNAI is better in terms of academics, class timings and placements.

At last, it depends upon you. So, choose well.

Difference their are more studious and deidcated crowd in VIT vellore. At the time of placements also ,students of chennai campus goes to vellore campus for placement because more companies visit there rest all things are same

Heartly congratulations for your success in VITEEE. Electrical and computer engineering at the institution just like any other courses will give you lot of opportunities to learn and explore via updated curriculums and workshops which are held regularly. Most of the faculties have indepth knowledge of their subjects and are highly qualified. You don't have to worry about placements from the time you take admission as more than 600 companies visit the college and students are allowed to sit in joint placements at the main campus.

Moreover the return of investments are good for first category as the fee is quite reasonable with high class infrastructure and facilities.

WIth reference to your query, I am very to inform you that placement scneario in eee branch in vit chennai is not good in oncampus placements ,though many companies visit every year but still from past yearrs,hardly 25 percent of students of eee got placed every year . If you are looking for off-campus placements ,then you go for it but have to make very strong projects in your resume . At 70 percentile you holds very low chance of getting admission in any good colleges. So if you can make off-campus placement then go for it otherwise start preparing for next attempt

I hope you are doing good . With reference to your query, I would glad to tell you that  for cse vit chennai campus would be a much better option than srm ktr campus. Except for mess which is little average ,everything is great in vit chennai campus. VIT chennai has very very well organized bulidings and highly secure for students with very dedicated coding culltute due to large number of technical fest held every year. Even teachers are mosltly from south who are very intelligent. Placement scenario is same in almost all companies

Vellore institute of technology, Vandalur, Chennai is a AICTE approved college which offers Btech in Electrical and Electronics engineering this course is Accredited by accreditation board for engineering and technology (ABET), USA. The eligibility criteria for B.Tech EEE is 10+2 level education with physics, chemistry and mathematics from a recognized board of education with a minimum of 60%marks aggregate, VITEEE is also required. 90- 95% candidates get placement in this stream. VIT Chennai is very good college for Technology. This college UGC approved. Infact 2020 NIRF rank is 16th in universities. This is oldest campus of VIT. Here so many courses are offered and BTech in mechanical engineering one of them. Infact so quickly BTech in CSE, BTech in IT and BTech in mechanical engineering already closed for admission. Because so many students want to take admission there in these stream. Due to research the big and beautiful campus present in VIT Chennai. Hostels are very good and clean. You can get air conditioning rooms also. There are veg and non veg both canteen and mess available. The huge library present there. Laboratories are very good with well equipments. All faculties are PhD holders. They are very flexible and helpful with students. The placement also very good here in every department. In mechanical engineering department almost 85% students got placed in every year. The highest package of salary for mechanical engineering 39lpa and average package of salary 6.5 lpa. So you can get admission dear.
