What is full form of LG?
Lieutenant Governor is the title given to LG. LG is in charge of a Union Territory in India (U.T). However, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Delhi, and Puducherry are the only three U.T.s of India that offer the position of Lieutenant Governor. In accordance with the Union Territory, the LG has the same duties and authority in the state as a governor, and at the union level, the President has the same authority as in India. The President of India selects the LGs for a term of five years. The Indian President has the option of suspending his term or having him resign from the position.

Role of LG
An LG in a UT has the same authority, powers, and obligations as a Governor. In line with it, an LG's authority and capabilities are roughly equivalent to those of a governor. Although they are both the nominal rulers of UTs, an LG has much greater power than the latter. The main justification for this is that, in contrast to an LG, a state governor's function is restricted to providing advice and assistance to state ministers when needed. LG Eligibility Criteria
Every position has a set of characteristics that must be met in order to meet the requirements of the position. You need to possess the following traits in order to work as an LG. Candidates must be citizens of India. Candidates must be at least 35 years old. At the time of application, candidates cannot be a member of any state or national legislature. Candidates are also prohibited from holding other lucrative posts concurrently.
