What is the Full Form of LRR?

There can be multiple full forms for LRR which are as follows :

  1. LRR is referred to as Legal Reserve Ratio

The legal reserve ratio is the minimum percentage of deposits banks must retain as cash. The Central Bank establishes the legal reserve ratio. The Legal Reserve Ratio is made up of two parts:

i. Reserve Fund Ratio (CRR)-This term refers to commercial banks' cash reserves with the Central Bank as a proportion of their deposits.

ii. Statutory Liquidity Ratio (SLR): This term refers to reserves held by Commercial Banks in the form of liquid assets (including cash, gold, and permitted securities) as a proportion of total deposits.

The Central Bank sets the CRR and SLR, which are legally enforceable on commercial banks. CRR and SLR are both legal reserve ratios in this sense.

  1. LRR As Leucine-Rich Repeat

It is a protein structural motif that has the shape of a horseshoe. It comprises repetitive sections of 20-30 amino acids that are exceptionally high in the hydrophobic amino acid leucine. Tandem repetitions frequently fold together to produce a solenoid protein domain known as the leucine-rich repeat domain. Each repeat unit has a beta strand-turn-alpha helix structure, and the completed domain has a horseshoe shape with an inside parallel beta-sheet and an external array of helices. Because one face of the beta-sheet and one side of the helix array are exposed to solvent, hydrophilic residues predominate. The hydrophobic core of the protein is located between the helices and sheets and is densely packed with leucine residues. Protein-protein interactions are typically formed using leucine-rich repeats.

  1. LRR As Long-Range Radars

Away from the frontlines, long-range radars are vital assets for gaining and maintaining aerial sovereignty. They are intended to identify and track many objects at vast distances. Long-range radars constantly track the whereabouts of friendly and hostile aircraft assets. These radars provide enhanced situational awareness at all times by allowing command and control centers to create an accurate, up-to-date Recognised Air Picture (RAP).

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Which LLR has the longest range?

The Ground Master 400 (GM400) has the longest range. It is a 3D long-range air surveillance radar with a range of up to 515 km.

2. Which country has the best radar?

China has the best radar in the world.

3. How is the legal reserve ratio calculated?

To calculate LRR, divide the amount of money a bank must keep in reserve by the amount of money it has on deposit.

4. In how many proteins are Leucine Rich Repeats present?

More than 60,000 proteins (in bacteria, viruses, eukaryotes etc.) have Leucine Rich Repeats.

5. What is the current Legal Reserve Ratio in India?

The current LRR is: CRR = 4.50% and SLR = 18.00%.
