NIDHI stands for National Initiative for Development and Harnessing Innovations. This knowledge-based and technology-driven initiative is taken by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. NIDHI aims to translate ideas and innovations into successful enterprises and reshape India’s startup environment. With NIDHI, the government is committed to fostering a thriving and innovative entrepreneurial environment, especially through guiding youth toward it and, as a result, ushering in its beneficial impact on the country's social and economic growth. In addition to delivering technology to Indian society, the initiative aims to provide new job and income development opportunities.
