The National Testing Agency (NTA) is a central government agency that was founded in November 2017 and was recognized by the Council of Ministers to administer admission tests for educational institutions. During the 2017 budget presentation by the finance minister, Arun Jaitley, he included a statement about NTA, which was then approved by the cabinet, resulting in the formation of NTA.
