What is the full form of OAS?

OAS stands for Odisha Administrative Services. Odisha Administrative Services is also known as OAS examination .Every year many students apply for the Odisha Administrative Service to become an officer but only some of them qualify this exam and become an OAS officer.This Administration deals with the many different aspects of the government may it be the recruitment, promotion, services and all the other facilities that come under the Odisha government institutions. The age limit to appear for OPSC examination varies among the different categories that occur in India and also among the physically disabled ones.

Age limit for General male candidates is :- 32 years

  • Maximum age limit to appear for OAS Examination for female is 37 years

  • For physically disabled ones the maximum age limit is :- 42 years

  • For all other categories like SC/ST/ OBC the age limit is 37 years.

There are usually two papers in the preliminary examination one is of General Studies and other is of Amplitude Studies.

  • Basic Data interpretation

Once you clear the preliminary examination, now it is your turn to sit for the mains examination. It is of total 2600 marks. It comprises seven different papers.
