Dr. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, has formerly been a member of the University Grants Commission and the Executive Council of NAAC, Bangalore. Dr. Tiwari obtained his PG degree in Applied Geology from Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar M.P. where he later served as the Vice-Chancellor for five and a half years). He holds a PhD in Palaeontology from Gauhati University. Dr. Tiwari has headed/heading several committee of UGC, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India concerning higher education.
