• a graduation degree along with a 2 year Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) degree or a 4 year degree in education (B.Ed/B.El.Ed.) as a basic requirement.

• passed Senior Secondary with a minimum of 50% marks.

• CTET or state TET is an eligibility test to become a primary teacher.

• Then qualified candidates have to pass school interviews or demo lectures to get selected as primary teacher.
