Hey! Scoring 421 in NEET 2025 as an OBC candidate gives you a reasonable chance to get a seat in a government medical college, but it mostly depends on the state you belong to and the cutoff trends this year. Some states with lower OBC cutoffs may offer you a seat in less competitive colleges, while top government colleges will likely have higher cutoffs. It’s best to check state-wise counseling details and keep both government and private college options ready during the counseling process.
After MBBS, you can pursue PG diplomas like Anaesthesiology, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, and Psychiatry (usually 2 years).
Top colleges include CMC Vellore, AIIMS Delhi, BJMC Pune, AFMC Pune, and Medical College Kolkata, with fees ranging from as low as rs. 1,600 in govt. colleges to rs. 10–12 lakh in private institutes.
If you need bsc nursig without cet exam apply to private colleges and universities that offer direct admission based on your merit. For this, you must have passed your 10+2 with Physics PCB and with at least 50% aggregate marks.
But must ensure the institution is approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) to guarantee your degree's validity.

Hello,
Osmania University does not offer BPT directly. The BPT course is available in some affiliated colleges like Osmania Medical College, Apollo College of Physiotherapy, etc.
For admission, you must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 50% marks and should be 17 years or above by 31st December of the admission year.
Admission is mainly based on entrance exams like NEET or TS EAMCET , followed by counselling. During counselling, you can choose BPT in the affiliated college, and seats are allotted based on rank, eligibility and availability.
So, you need to apply through the counselling process using NEET/TS EAMCET scores, not directly to Osmania University.
Hope it helps !
Yes, you can do BSc even if you graduated in 2017. But admission depends on the college or university rules.
Some universities have an age limit or gap year rule, while many accept students with a gap. You should check the eligibility and admission policy of the university where you want to apply.
Hello, with an AIR of 25070 and a score of 499 in NEET PG 2025 under the General category, getting a government seat in West Bengal for highly demanded branches like General Surgery or Orthopedics may be difficult, as these usually close at much higher ranks. However, you still stand a chance for other clinical or para-clinical branches through the state quota counselling. I suggest using the NEET PG college predictor link I’m sharing here, which will give you a clearer idea of the colleges and branches you may get based on your rank and category. With AIR 25070 and score 499 in NEET PG 2025 under EWS, it is not possible to get MS General Surgery or Orthopaedics in any government college through AIQ.
These branches usually close at much higher ranks (within 12k–15k for General Surgery and even earlier for Orthopaedics).
Your chances in AIQ government quota for these subjects are very slim. You may try in state quota counselling where cut-offs go higher.
Absolutely! You can pursue a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) this year after qualifying NEET UG 2025. NEET is not mandatory for DMLT admissions; instead, eligibility is based on your 10+2 marks.
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification: Completion of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects.
Minimum Marks: Typically, a minimum of 45-50% aggregate marks in 10+2.
Age Requirement: Candidates should be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the admission year.
Admission Process:
Merit-Based: Many institutions admit students based on 10+2 marks.
Entrance Exams: Some colleges may require entrance exams like NEET-P or AIIMS Paramedical Entrance.
Application: Submit applications through the respective college or university portals.
Course Duration and Fees:
Duration: Typically 2 years.
Fees: depends on the institution.
Career Opportunities: Graduates can work as Lab Technicians, Pathology Assistants, or Research Assistants in hospitals, diagnostic centers, and clinics.
Institutions Offering DMLT: Reputed institutions like CMC Vellore, Holy Cross College, and LLRM Medical College offer DMLT programs.
Hey! With an AIR of 25070 and a score of 499 in NEET PG 2025 under EWS category, getting a core clinical branch like General Medicine, Surgery, Ortho, Pediatrics, or OBG in a government college through AIQ will be very tough because cut-offs for these subjects are usually much higher.
But you still have a chance in para-clinical branches (like Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Forensic, etc.) and in some states during state counselling you may get less demanded clinical branches such as Anesthesia, Radiotherapy or Psychiatry depending on seat availability.
I’ll suggest you keep an eye on both AIQ and State Quota counselling, and also consider DNB seats, since they usually go lower in rank compared to MD/MS in government colleges.
