Prachi Kumari 19th Jun, 2025

Hello,

With 72 percentile in MHT CET, your rank would be around 32,000 to 41,000. Based on this, you can get admission in some private and autonomous colleges in Pune, especially in branches like Mechanical, Civil, E&TC, or IT (basic branches).

Here are some colleges in Pune accepting MHT CET where you might get a seat:

  • JSPM Narhe Technical Campus

  • Jaihind College of Engineering

  • Trinity College of Engineering & Research

  • Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s College of Engineering (Karvenagar)

  • Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (Akurdi or Ravet campus)

  • Sinhgad College of Engineering (Vadgaon campus)

  • PDEA’s College of Engineering, Hadapsar

  • Parvatibai Genba Moze College of Engineering, Wagholi

Fees structure of b.tech in cs

Samriddha Pal 16th Jun, 2025

Hello,

The fees structure for a B.Tech in CSE varies depending on the type of college you are considering, government, private, or deemed universities. In government colleges like the IITs, NITs, or state engineering colleges, the annual tuition fee usually ranges from Rs 30,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh, with additional charges for hostel, mess, and other facilities bringing the total yearly cost to around Rs 1.5 to Rs 2.5 lakh. For private institutions such as SRM, VIT, or Amity, the tuition fee can range from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 3 lakh per year, and the overall cost for the 4-year program may be anywhere between Rs 6 lakh to Rs 15 lakh, depending on the facilities and reputation of the institution.

Hope this helps. All the best !

Prachi Kumari 19th Jun, 2025

Hello,

With 63.82 percentile in MHT CET , it is quite difficult to get Computer Science (CS) or Artificial Intelligence (AI) branch in top government or top private colleges in Nagpur , especially in the CAP rounds .

These branches usually close at higher percentiles (above 90–95) in good colleges.

Hope it helps !

I got 40 percentile in mhtcet which college I can get admission in

Rupsa Banerjee 25th Jun, 2025

Dear aspirant,

With 40 percentile in MHT CET, getting admission into top government or highly reputed private engineering colleges in Maharashtra might be a bit difficult, especially for popular branches like CSE or IT. But you can still get admission in some private or lesser-known colleges, especially in branches like Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering. Colleges in rural areas or newer institutions tend to have lower cut-offs, so keep an eye on those during counselling rounds. Also remember, sometimes vacant seats in later rounds increase your chances. Some colleges you can consider are:-

  1. Jayawantrao Sawant College of Engineering, Pune
  2. Nutan Maharashtra institute of engineering and technology, Pune
  3. Dhole Patil College of engineering, Pune
  4. Bharati Vidyapeeth College of engineering, Navi Mumbai
  5. Shivajirao S. Jondhale College of Engineering, Thane

Good luck!

How to apply if the child has not appeared for JEE/MHT-CET

Pradeepa P 18th Jun, 2025

If the child has not appeared for JEE or MHT-CET , they can still apply for engineering admission through the following options:

1. Institute-Level Quota (Management Quota):

  • Many private engineering colleges in Maharashtra reserve 20% seats for institute-level admission.

  • These do not require JEE or MHT-CET scores.

  • Admission is based on Class 12 (PCM) marks .

  • You need to apply directly to the college through their official website or campus.

2. All India Seats (for CBSE/ICSE students):

  • Some colleges accept Class 12 merit-based admissions under AI quota for unfilled seats.

3. Diploma to Degree (D2D) Route Later:

  • If not eligible for direct admission, the student can pursue a Diploma in Engineering after 10th and take lateral entry (direct 2nd year) into degree engineering later.

Government and government-aided colleges require CET or JEE scores. These alternative options are mostly available in private unaided colleges .

I got 95.99 percentile in mhtcet 2025 and I have defence quota ex service man then can I get coep and which branch??plz Tell

Ayush Madanpotra 18th Jun, 2025

For COEP Pune, top branches like CSE, AI, or ECE require around 99+ percentile even for defence quota. So at 95.99, these aren't realistic.

However, you still stand a good chance for branches like Civil, Mechanical, or Manufacturing in COEP through the defence quota. These usually close around the 94–96 percentile mark for defence candidates.

In short, aiming for Civil or Mechanical at COEP is the practical move. It’s still a great college and these branches offer solid placements.
