Hi aspirant,
You may still view the answer key for MHT CET 2025 PCM .
All the best!
Hello Aspirant,
Yes, you can still pursue B.Tech in Computer Science if you have a backlog in Mathematics. But for that, you need to check for college because some private universities and state colleges provide admission for B.Tech, provided that you pass the supplementary examination. However, top government colleges and universities have a strict policy that you need to pass all the subjects. So, it is important to check the criteria before you applying for it. All the best for your future.
Hello!
With 86% in MHT CET PCM, you stand a strong chance to get into several good engineering colleges in Maharashtra for Computer Science (CS) and related courses like IT, AI & DS, Cybersecurity, etc. Some top options could be COEP Technological University, VJTI Mumbai, Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, and Government College of Engineering, Pune. You can also look into PICT Pune and Walchand College of Engineering.
During CAP (Centralised Admission Process) rounds, focus on filling as many preference options as possible, starting from the top colleges to the lower ones, so you maximize your chances. Also, if your percentile is high enough, you can even get autonomous or university-affiliated top-tier private colleges with good placements. Keep your documents ready, including domicile and caste certificates (if applicable).
For more details on CAP rounds and cut-offs, you can check the official MHT CET counseling portal check this:

Thank you and best wishes for your admission!
Hey! Since you’ve got 89 percentile in JEE Mains and 86 percentile in MHT-CET, and you belong to the OBC category, you do have some good options in both state and central colleges.
With your JEE percentile, getting into top NITs or IIITs might be difficult for CSE or core branches, but you might still get lower-demand branches in newer NITs or other institutes through the JoSAA counselling, especially if you include all rounds and choices carefully.
As for MHT-CET, 86 percentile is quite decent, especially for OBC category. In state counselling (CAP rounds), you could have a good chance in government or aided engineering colleges in Maharashtra, especially for branches like IT, ENTC, Electrical, or Mechanical. For CSE in top Mumbai or Pune colleges, cutoffs might be tighter, but you can still aim for mid-tier colleges where the closing ranks are higher.
Also, don’t forget to apply through both JEE and CET counselling, and fill in as many choices as possible to keep your options open.
For the 2025–26 academic session in India, PhD application forms generally become available between April and July , depending on the university and program
Hello Suman,
The application form for PhD programmes for the 2025–26 session will be released as per the schedule of each university.
In India, most institutes like IITs and central universities usually release PhD forms around June or July. For example, IIT Delhi is expected to start applications from 20th June 2025.
If you are applying abroad, like in the UK or USA, then forms usually open in September 2025 for the next academic year. It's best to regularly check the official website of the specific university or department you are interested in for exact dates and details.
Hope it helps !
Hi! So for the 2025–26 PhD admissions, many institutes have already started their application process. For example, universities like Presidency University have opened their forms in early June and are likely to close them by the end of June. Other top institutes like IISERs, IITs, and research organizations like NII have different timelines—some began as early as February or March and wrapped up by April or May.
Most universities announce their PhD application dates between February and June depending on the semester and intake schedule. Usually, you’ll need to submit your academic documents, proof of qualifying exams like NET or GATE if applicable, and a research proposal or statement of purpose.
If you're planning to apply, it's a good idea to keep checking the official websites of the universities you’re targeting. Each one has its own timeline, and some may open applications again in the second half of the year for the winter session.

In government colleges like the IITs, NITs, or state engineering colleges, the annual tuition fee usually ranges from Rs 30,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh, with additional charges for hostel, mess, and other facilities bringing the total yearly cost to around Rs 1.5 to Rs 2.5 lakh. Hope this helps. All the best !
With 63.82 percentile in MHT CET , it is quite difficult to get Computer Science (CS) or Artificial Intelligence (AI) branch in top government or top private colleges in Nagpur , especially in the CAP rounds .
These branches usually close at higher percentiles (above 90–95) in good colleges.
