After qualifying CAT exam with 50%, what is the process to join MBA and duration and full details about it ?
Hi Thanakanti !
The process for joining an MBA college would be as following :
- You need to do your research on which specialization you wish
to do your MBA in and also make a list of colleges that you are
interested in getting into and which ones have a higher chance of accepting you .
- This is based on a variety of factors like your academics , grades ,
live projects , certifications and so on.
- You will also need to analyse colleges basing upon their previous
placement records , packages offered , fees and subsequent ROI offered on the same .
- After deciding upon your target colleges , you would need to complete and
submit the application form before the last date . You will be able to find
the application on the college's website .
Common entrance exams that are usually accepted by a wide range of
colleges are CAT,XAT,MAT,NMAT etc.
Admission Rounds :
- Colleges will announce their shortlists and if you are chosen ,
you will need to appear subsequently for GD , PI , WAT (depends on the college admission
procedure ).
- The duration of a full time MBA Course is 2 years.
- One last note , even though there are colleges that might accept a
CAT score of 50 % , they might not offer very good placements , quality of education etc .
- Hence you can think about if you want to prepare well and appear for the exam again .
You can use that break to apply for some job meanwhile and gain some work experience .
Hope this helps , all the best!
