Hello Gagandeep, Of course, you are eligible to give gate 2020. your branch doesn't matter. Following is the course eligibility criteria:
Course Wise EligibilityFor B.Arch Programme
- Qualifying Exam: Applying candidate must have passed five years of Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized board or university.
- Appearing: Candidates who are currently in the final year of their qualifying exam can also apply. The passing year must not be later than 2020.
For B.Tech/ B.Pharm/BE Programme
- Qualifying Exam: Candidate must have completed their Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology after 12th examination OR
He/she must have passed with 3 years Bachelor’s degree after B.Sc./Diploma in Engineering/Technology.

I want to do engineering in aeronautics but my parents are other people around are saying that in this Branch of B.Tech jobs are very limited in comparison to CS/IT.Kindly tell me some companies name and govts organization in which i can apply for my job after 4 years.My parents are job oriented and i am passionate about Aeronautical studies.Kindly help me. I m getting dicy

Being dead straight there is not much scope of aeronautical engineering in India. coming to the scope for aeronautical engineering in the country, I won't bluff but it's pretty meager. It's tough to secure a job post your bachelor's. Of course, there are a few government companies such as DRDO, HAL, and NAL; but most of them require recommendations to get in or may have their own entrance exams especially in the case of IIST to, later on, join ISRO. You should go abroad if you want a better experience. companies like Lockheed Martin, Airbus, and Boeing have good intake from US institutions. For your parents, well, you need to make them understand that everything is not about the job. if you think only about the job, you'll make limited job oriented effort and won't give your best.
