Can a non domicile student sit for state counseling of Maharashtra for unaided private medical college. I am not interested in NRI seats.
The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Maharashtra, is the conducting authority for admission to Maharashtra PG medical 2019. The students who apply for this will be included in the state rank list. The application form for the same is available from 25th February and will continue till 5th March, 2019. Among all the seats in Maharashtra, 50% seats are reserved under State Quota and rest 50% are reserved for All India Quota. Even if you don't apply for Maharashtra Admission then you can get a sit through AIR.
If you want to apply through the Maharashtra State Merit list then domicile doesn't matter here. The eligibility criteria are:-
1) The student must be registered with the medical council of India or State Medical Council.
2) The student must have done MBBS from a college located in Maharashtra
3) The student must have completed rotatory internship by 31st March, 2019.
4) The student must be an Indian National.
