Correct Answer: 8 × 6 – 9 ÷ 3 + 10 = 0
Solution :
Given:
× and –
Replace the given symbols in the options one by one with the original symbols in the given equation.
First option:
7 × 9 – 8 ÷ 2 + 6 = 25
= 7 – 9 × 8 ÷ 2 + 6
= 7 – 36 + 6
= –23 ≠ 25
Second option:
8 × 6 – 9 ÷ 3 + 10 = 0
= 8 – 6 × 9 ÷ 3 + 10
= 8 – 18 + 10
= 0
Third option:
16 – 4 ÷ 2 + 8 × 1 = 36
= 16 × 4 ÷ 2 + 8 – 1
= 32 + 8 – 1
= 39 ≠ 36
Fourth option:
5 + 7 × 3 – 4 ÷ 2 = 8
= 5 + 7 – 3 × 4 ÷ 2 = 8
= 12 – 6
= 6 ≠ 8
Here, only the second option satisfies the R.H.S. of the given equation. Hence, the second option is correct.
