You need to have atleast 99+ percentile in CAT. Along with this having 90+ percentage in 10th, 12th and 80+ in graduation is always desirable.

Plus in order to get a seat, you need to perform very well in GD, extempore and Interview which consists of 30% marks.

All the best!

Hii Kapil

For admission in FMS, you need CAT Percentile above 99.5 though this year the criteria have changed. It takes 60% CAT weightage and 40% of other factors. 10th, 12th score should be above 80 and Graduation above 70 if you want to enhance our chances of admission there

Kapil recently FMS has changed its weightage criteria. Earlier it used to give 85% weightage to CAT marks, 10% to interview and 5% to extempore so scoring very high percentile with an average interview and extempore performance used to fix your seats. But now it gives 60% weightage to CAT marks, 5% extempore, 15% Interview, 10% GD, 5% 10th class and 5% 12th class. Seeing that you have an average academic record so your score in that 10 % will be a little low in comparison to other student performance.

First of all, you will need to score atleast 98+ percentile in CAT exam to get a call but in order to convert your call, I will recommend you to have atleast 99+ percentile in CAT. Along with this having 90+ percentage in 10th, 12th and 80+ in graduation is always good for any student.

Plus in order to get a seat, you need to perform very well in GD, extempore and Interview which consists of 30% marks making a huge difference and any other student with a little low CAT percentile can also easily cover your score with an excellent performance in this second round. Now after the weightage criteria are changed you can never assume to have a seat even after scoring a very high percentile in CAT examination.

Feel free to ask if you have any more queries. All the best!!
