Hello sir I wanted to ask that if i fill the application form of jbims with cmat exam form then will i have to fill the form again in mahcet
JBIMS will participate in the Centralised Admission Process conducted by the DTE, Maharashtra. This means that the CAT score will be used for admission under 18 All India seats. To get through, one would need a 99.99 or a 99.98. Typically, nobody with such high scores in CAT apply for this, so, take CET and CMAT and try to get a 99.99 or a 99.98
JBIMS will issue calls on the basis of CAT and CET scores after considering profile of applicants. Profile includes past academic record, work experience, extra-curricular activities. This will be followed by a GD, PI, WAT and a combined score will be used for final selection. When this process was followed, nobody with a score less than 98.8 converted if I recall correctly, however, a higher score didn’t guarantee a convert.
The best option is to take CAT, CMAT, CET and be ready with a good score.
Also understand that last year all 120 seats of JBIMS were strictly reserved for Maharashtra Candidates only. And not even a single one was given to anyone else. And the experts and Industry reacted very negatively to this as the Quality of students and Diversity in the Bschool was Diluted.
It can follow the same trend this year as well or maybe change it and open it up for others.
And yes you do not have to apply for both as per the last year. The bigger problem is to not loose admit cards of Cmat or Mahcet whichever you are giving they will be required for the admission process.
Get ready with a good Cmat or Mahcet score and be ready also for GD and PI.
Hope this helps! All the best.
