IAS interview is a half-an-hour exercise which can change your life. So, see After clearing Prelims and Mains, you will be having atleast 2 months in year hand to prepare for Interview... At this stage (interview) you need to be 100% confidence and should learn how to tackle unknown or less known answer to the questions...
Interview takes place for minimum 45 mins... all you have to be confident, focus, Try to answer as much as know, don't make up answer if you don't know about it or having doubt about clear, Need to clear your explanation concepts, try to answer they way that it shall not raise any other question from your answer.

Read your bio data multiple times most of the questions are related to it .
Always keep positive attitude ,there are many myths and rumors about IAS interview. You might have bad experiences from previous interviews as well. But dont let negative thoughts to ruin your chances.
While your setting for interview don't take it with light spirit its down your impression by your speaking and behavior.
You required best communication skill.
Don't lie,Dont say lies to impress UPSC interview board. Never create fake facts in your bio-data. Very often they will catch you.
Don't stop reading newspaper,
Candidates often stop reading newspapers once the UPSC main exam is over.
Revise your optional subject,It is seen that many candidates tend to neglect their optional subject after UPSC CSE Mains. But UPSC interview panel may ask questions from your optional subject on the interview day.
