How many marks does a SC category student should get to get a government seat in medical college?
It depends on the State you belong to, Vani. It totally depends on the State you hold the domicile of. You haven't mentioned the State you belong to. For example, if you belong to Tamilnadu, a score of 500 and above are required for a seat in GMC. Stattes like Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, Tamilnadu have the highest cut offs. If you look at Maharashtra, they have a different seat allotment system for Candidates with Maharashtra domicile. In AP, there are 3 areas for MBBS seats namely OU, AU and SVU. You need to be a locale for getting a seat in this area. But on an average, you will need a minimum of 450 marks if you belong to AP. But if you belong to Telangana, you will need 475 atleast. This is because cut offs change every year and what might be the cut off this year might not be the next year.
