A mid-career Astrophysicist with 5-9 years of experience earns an average total compensation of Rs 450,000 based on 6 salaries. working in the field of space research can earn average annual salaries ranging from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 6.12 lakh.

Astronomers on an average earn Rs 8 lakh to Rs 10 lakh annually. working in the field of space research can earn average annual salaries ranging from     Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 6.12 lakh.

An ISRO Scientist gets approximately 1lakh rupees in hand salary which clearly suggests that it is a high paying job.
