How to best way to prepared IELTS
Hello Amit
IELTS (Academic) - 7.5 Bands
X | XII | Graduate- 90.55% | 84.92% | A grade.
So with a short introduction of my acads, just wanted to convey that IELTS is no rocket science and an average student too can score good bands with a little practise and right amount of efforts.
Few tips:
Aim for 8–8.5 to reach 7–7.5 or higher.
Try answering each question as IELTS carry no negative marking.
LISTENING :
- Train yourself by listening to more Hollywood/ British albums, movies, videos, audios as much as you can to get used to the foreign accent.
- Try to stay patient and focused till the last section so that you don’t miss out on any MCQs or blanks, let go if you miss out on one answer. Panicking for that might lead to other answers going wrong.
READING :
- You need to be fast with a good understanding of the passage to score well and complete all the passages on time.
- Advisable to start with passage 3 (difficult) first and then move on to the passage 1 & 2 which are comparatively easier.
- Practise a lot of passages before the exam date to keep up with the above tips.
WRITING :
- Remember to stick to the question and answering only on the topic given and don’t go sideline. Use simple decent English rather than using fancy words and complicating the writing task.
- In writing task 1, mention all the observations that you’ve made with correct figures and changes in the diagram or graph.
- Before starting writing task 2, make a summary of the points which will give a flow to your essay and will give a better idea of presenting your opinions when you start writing the essay.
- Introduction, main body paragraphs and conclusion - make notes when you practise of the common phrases that might make your writing task presentable.
SPEAKING :
- Be loud, slow and avoid slangs. Can be casual but should have a decent tone. Support your answers with a strong opinion to convince the examiner of what you’re speaking.
- Practise speaking by asking your friends, neighbours or even your family members to help you by asking the questions from the speaking sections of the book that you are referring to.
