NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
hi parmanand, you still have 5 months time and if you work smart, you can really score well easily, i will tell you how to prepare
physics is considered one of the toughest subject for medical aspirants, but very interesting. choose any good book of your convinience, there are plenty of good books as many mentioned already. read the concepts thoroughly, understand them cover to cover, if you have doubts, clear them then and there. solve atleast 300 to 500 questions per chapter, check ,analyse and rectify your mistakes. solve again. the more you solve the merrier.initially you wont be getting many correct answers, but as you keep on doing am sure you will see your score rising. solve previous question papers too, good luck
Don't try to memorise the formulas, just try to derive them once. So even if you don't remember the formula, you'll be able to derive it on the spot.Practice Physics daily. This is the need for the subject if you have no idea about this subject .Don't try to solve each and every MCQ books, as 90% of the questions are almost same in all the basic books. Just prefer one book and make sure to solve its each and every question. If you have finished one book then go through the other but remember the second book should be of higher level.Make your theory strong. I repeat again make your theory part strong. Without theory you'd never be able to get the practical knowledge and Physics is all about practical knowledge like how much you can imagine on the given topic. Just make sure to read theory. Either read it out from any standard book like H.C. Verma. or go through such sources which are giving you the correct information. As lot's of coaching classes and teachers over there don't have good knowledge of the subject. They just deliver according to their level, so go through the wonderful notes as it makes your theory part strong and indirectly it'll increase your overall performance. You have to maintain speed as well as accuracy. You have to solve each question in one minute. But this speed doesn't come very easily. You have to work hard for it. In my opinion, you should focus on the accuracy first and then hunt for the speed. Because once you know how to solve questions correctly, you'll gain your speed automatically. But again Practice Practice Practice. Continue to give chapter wise tests all along the way. Most students leave the test practice to the last. Do not do that!! Try and take a chapter wise test practice module, even while you are preparing. This would help you acquire time management skill as well as give you more practice in your weaker area. Once your preparation is say about 80% done, start solving previous year question papers as well as Mock Tests. It would give you a more clear idea about your preparation level.
There are definitely certain important topics like Modern Physics, Magnetic Effects of current, Conductors, Waves etc. start revision with them.Do go through NCERT and revise the important concepts as most of the questions are NCERT based.
Try to touch as many topics as you can dont just indulge into one topic.
Last and most important dont take stress because it will just exhaust your time and energy that you can fruitfully utilise in preparing for the exam.
WISH U ALL THE BEST.
1) IDENTIFICATION - You must try finding out where exactly you're lagging behind. Is it because of lack of proper concepts or is it because of lack of practice.
2) WORK ON YOUR WEAK AREAS - Once you know where you're facing trouble, make a plan of action accordingly. Seek help from your mentors for getting your concepts clarified. If you aren't practicing MCQs enough, pick up a good reference book and make it a point to solve some questions EVERYDAY. Yes, practice is an essential element if you intend to score well.
3) BOOKS THAT YOU CAN CONSIDER FOLLOWING - if you have joined a coaching institution already, you might be having study materials that your institution provides you. Nonetheless, H.C. VERMA for physics volume 1 & 2 is one good that you can follow.
Also, make it a point to solve the questions from the previous years' papers as well, for which you can follow MTG publications or Arihant publications
P. S. Buying a whole array of books for every subject is absolutely meaningless, follow one reference book for every subject and follow it religiously.
4) DEVELOP INTEREST IN THE SUBJECT - it is absolutely necessary. Do whatever it takes to build your interest because only then will you want to work harder for it. Whenever you make mistakes in your institute level examination, make it a point to take note of where you went wrong and why you went wrong. Never repeat that mistake again in future examinations.
5) OPTIMISM - Above everything, believe in the fact that whatever you'll be doing during your phase of preparation for the entrance will fetch you what you need in the long run.

SHOULD DO CHAPTERS
Current electricityopticswork power and energyalternating currentgravitationConceptual Clarity: Previous years papers analysis suggest that areas like Mechanics, Heat and Thermodynamics, Electrodynamics and Modern Physics are the most important areas from NEET perspective. You must focus on clearing the concepts related to these topics. Learning only the theoretical part is not going to help. Additionally, you must learn how to implement the concepts in solving the numerical problems and MCQs.Refer Right Preparation Material:You must refer to NCERT books for understanding concepts and additionally, you must solve all the numerical problems from NCERT since a lot of questions are picked from NCERT book in NEET exam.Practice: You must practice a wide variety of numerical problems based on the different concepts in order to attain firm grip in various topics. You must additionally follow 1-2 standard competition books for practicing MCQs.Dedicated Practice will help you learn how to implement the concepts in solving the questions.Exposure to a variety of questions will help you answer accurately and speedily.Take short notes: You must take short notes of important formulae, theorems and concepts. This will greatly boost up your revision during exam preparationSolve Previous year question papers: One of the best way to prepare for Physics section is to solve and analyze previous year question papers of AIPMT.Thorough Revision: You must revise and recall the concepts, formulas and theories on a regular basis which will help you remember the topic for a longer duration. A regular revision will greatly help to reduce burden during exam time.Take online Mock Test series: You must attempt mock test series on a regular basis as this will help you analyze your preparation level at every stage and will help improvise on weaker areas.
Goodluck!
Hope this helps.
Physics is actually one of the subjects of least importance in NEET and again if you are preparing along with your boards the approach might completely difference for Neet you have to practice MCQ which atoms that solving shorthand numericals in a limited time where is in boards you might be required to know full derivations and conceptual based questions for which you might have 10 to 12 minutes to solve for each question.
However coming to the MCQ part of it, usually what is scene is most questions asked on concepts in mechanics, gravitational chapters, electro mechanics and electromagnetism, sound and also circuit diagrams on current electricity, capacitance and inductance.
Sweet would be good if you have a clear concept of mechanics, electromagnetism and modern physics before you going to give the examination.
My advice to you would be trying to complete chemistry and Biology in the first one and half hours of you Neet examination Arani mock examination which you are willing to give, within you attempt to answer as many questions correctly as you can, leaving behind the rest to be attempted later.
Utilise the rest of the one and half hours for solving the Physics problems, one by one, the ones which you can answer before and next try to complete the unattempted questions of all the three subjects.
Repeated mock examinations on a time bound basis will help you analyse your strengths and weaknesses, help you strengthen your weaknesses and thereby answer the maximum number of correct questions, leaving behind the minimum number of dubious questions so that you have minimum negative marking and maximum marks and the best rank possible
Hope this helps thank you
thanks a lot sir,but how to cover 80% syllabus within may ,since I have unable to study prescribed syllabus.
As per your query about preparation of Physics for NEET UG entrance exam, I would like to suggest following tips
1.Make your own study plan and follow it properly with dedication and PATIENCE....
2. Devote most of time say 80 % in NEET preparation and 20 % in board exam preparation
3. Practice MCQS on daily basis
4. Correct your mistakes
Most important for NEET/AIIMS is your NCERT books as these books include basic principles and concepts and provide accurate information.
KEEP NCERT + ONE REFERNCE BOOK + MAXIMUM MCQS PRACTICE = Medical SEAT Apart from this, you can add upon it by following books
BOOKS -
Concept of physics by H C Verma
Fundamental of Physic by Pradeep
Objective physics by DC Pandey
BUT KEEP IN MIND YOU HAVE TO CLEAR ENTRANCE YOU ARE NOT DOING PhD so dont go by all books mentioned here and there
Important topics which cover about 70 % , around 30 - 32 ques/ each year for last 10 years out of a total of 45 ques/year
Kinemetics
Rotational Motion
Gravitation
Thermal Physics
WaveMotion and Doppler's effect
Electrostatic
Current Electricity & Effect of Current

But understanding concept and practice more McQ will solve this problem
Follow NCRT and get tutoring on difficult topic is best .
You can follow the NCERT books. And also for leafing the basic to advanced concepts of physics you need to practice the concepts available in Concepts if physics vol1& 2.
And the one more book is by Pandey.
Comment here, if you want more info.
All the best.
