i am mechanical student in diploma which should I prefer BE OR Btech

Hey,
B.E and B.tech are both the same. Even the subjects and syllabus is same. There is only a slight difference that you will be given a little more practical exposure in B.tech compared to B.E.
B.E is a knowledge oriented course and industrial visits and internships are just a part of it (not compulsory), but if you see B.Tech institutes, it is more of a skill based course and industrial visits and internships are compulsory to get graduation.
You can take admission in any of the above via lateral entry (admission in 2nd year directly). Now, it depends on you what you want to select.
Both have equal respect, reputation and value in the market. You will get equally same jobs and salary after B.E and B.tech
