Try to login after sometime on the portal.Because Many of the students login on the website at the same time.So the server would be busy.And please remember your login details and write it correctly.As the result was announced yesterday so Don't worry about that.

This issue is raising because you might have entered the incorrect login credential and hence it is not accepting i so you can do one thing, just open your mail box of that e-mail which you gave on the time of registration and you have received a mail from VIT stating your application number and other details. You can get those details from their and if password is wrong then you can click on forgot password/reset password button to change the password.
There might be the another reason for stored data, so just clear your cached data/browsing history and reopen the browser and then try to login again.
