I dont have an ews certificate now but I'll make it till may,will I be able to choose category again at the time of counseling in 2020

Nihal, if this is regarding NEET, you cannot wait until May to get it doone. Because the Correction window will be open only until January 31st and that is your last shot at making corrections to your Category, lest your EWS certifcate request is not approved. You cannot fill 2 different categories during filling the application form and counselling registration. Details like name of Candidate, contact/ address details, category, PwD status, educational qualification, date of birth, etc will be treated as final. Any request or mail for changes in information after the closure of the correction period will not be considered by NTA under any circumstances. So what you can do is select EWS category now and apply for EWS certificate right away. And if you are approved of EWS certificate by January 30th atleast, you can keep the Category as EWS in the application form. But if it doesn't get approved, you can change it during the correction window atleast on  January 31st, which is the last day for corrections.

If you have filled EWS as your category at the time of filling your application form, then you need to furnish the same at the time of document verification by the university for which you have filled the examination form. Regarding the question as to  whether you will be able to choose your category again at the time of counselling then that depends on the university guidelines for which you have filled the examination form.
