I got 95.89%in jee mains 2020.Can I expect NIT for chemical and mechanical engineering?

Considering the rank formula, your rank will be around 35K to 38k. As per the previous year cutoffs, with this rank you can get various North Eastern NIT's.
For Chemical Engineering you can get NIT Jamshedpur.
Through special round which is conduct by CSAB you will able to get admissions in lower branch of NIT's .
But if you want cse/it/ece then you should go for a new IIIT's like kota, vadodara etc.
All the north eastern NITs and new IIITs are available at this rank.
Since your percentile score is good but not good enough to get you chemical or mechanical at any good NIT.,
To get these branches at nits you should have A percentile score of more than 97+ for general Category.
But if you belong to obc, sc, st then yes you can get nit.
