I want to do a government job but there is change in my mother's name in cbse 10 and 12 marksheet. In 10 certificate mother name is X Y but in 12 certificate is X rani Y. Can this create a problem for selection for government job like IAS or PCS?

In such situations, your mother needs to get an affidavit done stating that both the names belong to her. Once she gets an affidavit done, it has to be advertised in a local newspaper and a National newspaper. And from there on, there will be no issues. This certainly wont stop you from applying for Government jobs provided you meet the other eligibility criteria and the affidavit is in place.
