As you want to be in the field of astronomy it is good choice
So according to the analysis. The one who works in the field of astronomy as a degree and doctorate holders in physics or astronomy ,or mixed together
So I suggest you to go with engineering in physics.as some. Universities and colleges offer specialised physics degree course
