Since you are about to complete your B.Tech, I congratulate you beforehand for completion of your engineering and now to answer your question, there are a plethora of opportunities for an engineer for either if he wants to pursue higher studies or go for jobs. Let me brief you upon it:

• If you want to pursue an M.Tech degree from esteemed colleges in India such as IITs and NITs, then you should apply for the GATE entrance exam, qualifying in which you can get admission into one of the above colleges.
• Qualifying the GATE exam also gives you an opportunity to apply in PSUs of India which offer jobs to GATE qualifying candidates and also offer lucrative salaries and perks.
• If you wish to pursue MS in abroad then you can give the GRE exam which is an entrance exam for the best colleges across the globe.
• If you wish to pursue an MBA, then you can give the CAT exam to get admission into IIMS and other management colleges.
• If you wish to be a government public servant and serve our country and its people as an IAS, IPS or other Group A officers then you can give UPSC entrance exam for the same.

The forms depends on the choice of what you want to do in future.

If you want do M.Tech you can go for GATE exam. And if you want to join PSU and government as an Engineering Services Officer you can give GATE as well as Engineering Services Exam.

And if you want to join other fields like banking, management etc. Then you can go for exams like CAT, IBPS PO, SBI etc. And also SSC CGL for different kind of jobs.
