Hello,

Eligibility Criteria for both these exams is a graduate degree from a recognized university. Exception is there in SSC CGL, if you're aspiring for AAO and Junior Statistical Officer.

So, your vision matters a lot here, what you wish to achieve in future, your long term goals, choose your subjects at UG level accordingly, UPSC never asks for any set aggregate, so many people from different background have cracked it before and continue to do so.

What matters is your preparation as well for these exams, since with each passing year, competition is increasing, one of the main reason being different streams people attempting these exams.

Hope, this helps.
