Is it true that only around 90000 students appeared for upsee b. tech paper 1 if it is true then will this have a positive effect on cutoffs?
There wasn't any number like 90000 but as per the news about 71% students appeared for UPSEE 2020 for B-TECH and MBA. Yes , it will affect the cutoff like most of the college's seat may be vacant which will lead them to decrease their cutoff to fill their students. Mostly the cutoff range depends on the marks average marks obtained by students from Highest to lowest . It will really affect the cutoff this year.
This year approximately 1,25,328 students appeared for upsee.
Out of which the approximate number of seats for BTech is 79502.
And cut off rank depends on many factors like number of students appeared for the exam, quality of questions, etc
So the number of students appeared for the exam will definitely have an effect on the cut off.
