Is there any different type of councelling for private veterinary colleges? Anyone please explain the procedure !???
Hello Arymanm!
The counselling for veterinary is done by VCI or Veterinary Council of India for 15% of total veterinary seats. These include both government and private colleges, and any candidate from any state can apply under this AIQ. The rest of the seats are filled during state counselling conducted by the respective states. The procedure to apply for both private college and the government colleges is same and is as follows:
- The candidates first need to register themselves to the online AIPVT counselling. The application form will be released by VCI on the official website. During registration candidates are asked to fill the necessary information such as NEET ranking, application number etc. The registration is considered successfully after the payment for application fee is done.
- The next step is choice entry. Candidates need to enter their preferred colleges and lock their choices befire the due date.
- Next VCI will announce the seat allocation results. A number of factors influence seat allocation process, such as merit, category the candidate belongs to, number of seats available etc.
- If you wish to participate in furthur rounds, you can participate. The candidates need to report to the alloted colleges before the due date.
