Hi Raji!
In India, the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of the UK (MRCP-UK) is conducted as a 3 year structured PG programme with Core Medical Training (CMT).
As per the MRCP-UK International Brochure, this 3 year Programme is not at all considered equal to MD or MS. Only in India it is considered so. In India, people with MRCP is considered to be appointed as Assistant Professor in Medical Colleges.
Hope this is helpful!
