The major 3 will be : working as a researcher, working as a conservationist, working in government sectors (I'm talking mainly in case of India, as I know it better). As a researcher you can work in many aspects, some of them are: wildlife management, ecology and its subdivisions,like behaviour ecology, landscape ecology, marine ecology etc, human-wildlife conflict, genetics and so many. After completing

. You can do either job or research (Projects). You can get job/research projects/funds/ helps in various organizations like : WWF, IUCN,TRAFFIC, CITES etc and many more organisations in different countries.

Departments where you can seek job in administration/ R&D are:



1. Department of Biotechnology (DBT)



2. Department of Science & Technology (DST)



Other autonomous bodies include:



1. Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)



2. Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR)



3. Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)



Besides, many other central and state government departments offer jobs at various levels.
