Now if you belong from home state quota then you can easily get some good Nits (on basis of your sc category rank) like :-
Nit hamirpur, nit jalandhar, nit trichy, nit calicit, nit raipur, nit durgapur, etc.
Now if you belong from other state then from your sc category rank you have chances to get into NITs like :-
In all the mentioned nits you can get civil engineering or chemical engineering.

As your home state is Tamil nadu, then you can easily get nit trichy
In nit trichy with 6176 sc rank you can easily get the following branches :-
Metallurgical and Materials Engineering,
civil engineering,
Production Engineering,
Instrumentation and control engineering,
Also, getting the chemical engineering branch will be difficult for you in nit trichy, because the last year cutoff for chemical engineering from home state in sc category was :-
for male candidates - 6102
for female candidates - 5469
