In JEE advanced you can give maximum up to two attempts and these two attempts are counted from your class 12th passing year.
That means you can give jee advanced exam in your class 12th passing year and the next consecutive year only. And it also doesn't matter that whether you have given JEE advanced or not, your attempt will be counted as over.
And, If you have passed your class 12th in 2020, that is, this year, then you have still one more attempt left in next consecutive year of 2020, that means, JEE advanced 2021. Even if you haven't given jee advanced 2020, your first attempt is counted as over and now your are Left only with one last attempt for jee advanced, i.e, jee advanced 2021.
But if you have passed your class 12th in 2019, then there is no chance that you can appear/give jee advanced 2021.
