Admission to undergraduate courses in Delhi University is done on the basis of the merit of the qualifying examination except few courses for which the admission is done through entrance test as mentioned below-
- BA (Hons) Multimedia and Mass Communication
- Bachelor of Elementary Education
- BSc Physical Education, Health Education & Sports Sciences
- BA (Hons) Humanities and Social Sciences
- BTech (IT & Mathematical Innovations)
- Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Hindustani Music- Vocal/Instrumental (Sitar/Sarod/Guitar/Violin/Santoor)
- Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Carnatic Music Vocal/Instrumental (Veena/ Violin) Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Percussion Music (Tabla/Pakhawaj)
- Five-Year Integrated Programme in Journalism in Delhi School of Journalism
- Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) /BBA Financial Investment Analysis (FIA) /BA (Hons) Business Economics for which admission is done through DU JAT
In case of postgraduate courses, 50% seats gets filled through merit of the last qualifying examination which is only applicable for candidates belonging to Delhi University and rest of 50% gets filled through entrance test, this is specifically for those students who don't belong to Delhi University, if your query is anyway directed towards CUCET then as of now it's not confirmed, there have been reports in past few months about Delhi University conducting admission through CUCET, but until an official notification is released for the same we cannot assume anything. it entirely upto the education ministry to take a call on this matter.
