B.Tech is a skill oriented course whereas you can consider B.E for knowledge based program.
B.Tech is more about practical applications and B.E focuses on theory and strong fundamentals. Also,as B.Tech is technology oriented so it is considered to be up to date whereas in B.E course curriculum gets updated but not so frequently.
For B.Tech, industrial and internships are mandatory and for B.E it may be an essential part as this fact is almost the same for both.
