NEET criteria:
- 15% All India Quota seats in Government medical and dental colleges in all states and UTs of India
- 85% state quota seats for MBBS and BDS admissions in all states and UTs of India
Admission to 15% All India Quota seats in government medical and dental colleges is filled by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) through online counselling. Similarly, admission in 85% State Quota seats in government medical and dental colleges is filed by the Directorate of Medical Education for their respective states.
Further, from 2017, the Directorate of Medical Education will conduct counselling for MBBS and BDS seats in private and deemed medical universities including central universities and minority institutions based on NEET merit list.
So reading the above guidelines you can judge if you come under 85% category.
