What is cut off for admission through cat exam?
Hi Piyush,
CAT exam is divided into 3 sections namely- Quantitive ability, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability. If you are aiming for the IIMs, the cutoffs is in terms of percentile you have scored in each of these sections as well as your overall percentile. The overall percentile should not be less than 90 for you to get a call from the IIMs. However, people who actually get admission in the top colleges are those above the 98 percentile mark. However, a percentile above 90 would fetch you other decent colleges.
All the best!
