Comparing both ece and Cse if you go through ece then we can get job in both software and hardware side and coming to Cse you can only go through software side but not hardware side compare two both Cse have high placements and ece and Cse or completely different subjects but the common among this both is programing

Coming to placements Cse have more placements then ece .if you would like to track high placements it depends on your skills

The more advantage taking ece is you can also go to software side

The Job Opportunities for the both the streams are great. They will have handful of opportunities. The Students of both the streams will get the Software Job easily. CSE people will have better than ECE. ECE students can also get Core jobs related to Electronics. Whereas CSE people are confined only for Software.

Both are equivalently good sector. CSE course will be easy throughout your 4 years but ECE will be very tough.Any branch that is integrated with electronics is named as an evergreen branch of engineering.Electronics is still an emerging sector in India. re efficient people with lesser salary are available to work for the company and that is why people start getting kicked out during recession but since ECE has a demand everywhere, there might be a chance that you survive the heat.

Also you want to work in field, you can apply for IES (Indian Engineering Services) which enables you to directly work as an executive engineer in government companies like BSNL,RAILWAY(RAILTEL),etc.Generally it takes around around 6 years to get stipend of executive engineer but cracking this exams enables you to have your promotions starting from executive engineer.

Lastly I would say that ECE won’t be an easy subject and if you are an average student then you should go for CSE as you will get easy placements but for ECE you need to work really hard.
