What is the difference between Masters in Journalism and Mass Comm and MA in Journalism and mass comm? what is its curriculum?
There is no difference. Both are Same course.
Hi
Shubhi, Masters or MA (Master of Arts) in Journalism and Mass Comm, are both same. It's just the degree name varies, rest the course structure, the education level, curriculum, practicals, everything remains same. After pursuing any of them you will complete your Masters level of education. Do not worry about this, select a good institute and programme for yourself.
The curriculum for, both MA or Masters, programmes are designed to impart proficiency in all areas, incorporating the latest media industry trends. This not only includes theoretical aspects but also practical exposure through studios, newsrooms, clubs etc. Besides regular classroom teaching and practical learning, Mass Comm students also have mandatorily internships.
Proposed Course Structure by UGC for Mass Comm students, which is to be followed by every institute/university.
First Semester: 1. Principles of Mass Communication 2. Development of Media 3. Print Media-I (Reporting and Editing) 4. Electronic Media (Radio and Television) 5. Advertising and Public Relations/Corporate Communication
