Despite a flurry of developments since then, prototypes are still utilised in the early phases of specialised multi-stage particle accelerators. According to ncert notes for Class 12 Physics chapter 4, the attribute of a magnetic force's impact on a moving charge is also used to bend the latter along a semi-circular trajectory.
