When should I get my M.Sc. degree for eligibility for GATE 2024?

GATE is conducted by IIT madras every year around february. This year it was conducted on 2,3,9 and 10 in online mode. There are certain eligiblity criteria before attempting for Gate.

In this case, where you want to apply for Gate , which is -

• Candidates must have completed their Bachelors degree in engineering/Technology or M.Sc in Any of relevant subjects.
• there is no minimum pass percentage in qualifying degree while attempting for GATE, as well as no age limit .
• Other than this, you must be an Indian national candidates.

IF you want to attempt GATE in 2024, then either you have to be in final year or you should have completed M.Sc before 2024. The qualifying degree must not be more than 2024.

SO, if you are pursuing M.Sc, and youll complete M.Sc in year 2024, then you can attempt for GATE 2024 . Also, if you have completed M.Sc in year 2020 also, then also you can attempt GATE 2024.

ALSO, there are few more variations in it.
If you are doing Integrated ME/M.Tech after B.Sc (Post BSc) then you are eligible to take up GATE 2024, provided you are  in either 2nd , 3rd or 4th year in the year 2024.

If you are doin Integrated B.Sc-M.Sc / BS-MS , and youll be graduating in in year 2024, then you are eligible to Take GATE 2024 if you are graduating in 2024.

These are few eligibility criteria which satisfied then you are eligible to take up Gate 2024.

These eligiblity criteria was given for this years GATE exam, it will remain same irrespective of the upcoming years, unless anything extra needs to be added.. If there are any changes, they would announce it priorly in the year when they would release the application form. No need to worry now.
