Rules an Regulations :
Both have early hostel in time.
The academics rules and regulations are the same.
Coming to the outings vellore boys can stay out of the campus till 9:30 and aren't obliged to inform anyone whereas Chennai boys need permissions.

Size Of campus : The Vellore campus is spread across an area of 350 acres(approx) whereas the Chennai campus size is 150 acres(approx).

Extra - Curricular activities :
Both the campus have been equally provided facilities for sports and culturals and the students seem to be making the most out of it. Coming to the fests then Vellore has two fests Gravitas(tech fest) and Riviera( cultural fest), but I never heard of any fests in Chennai campus.

More space for activities :
In this section I would love to mention about the life outside campus then undoubtedly its Chennai campus guys have more scope than us. After all we are comparing a cosmopolitan Chennai to Vellore. This is the only advantage Chennai guys have.

Better experience over-all is ofcourse Vellore campus as compared to that in Chennai.
