In order to become an IAS officer you need to clear UPSC civil services exam.The eligibility criteria for the exam is you need to have a minimum qualification of graduation. Graduation from any stream is applicable for upsc exam. And the candidates who have written the final year exams of the qualifying exam (bachelor's degree) and are awaiting results can also apply for the UPSC exam.

Now,

As per the eligibility criteria of UPSC examination,

There is no specific degree requirement to be eligible for UPSC civil services examination, you just need a  bachelor's or graduation degree from a recognised University, it can be any graduation degree like BA ,BSc, BTech ,BCom  etc

*You must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline   from a recognised university

*Minimum age limit :-  you need to be at least 21 years old to be eligible

*Maximum age limit :-  32 years , also there's 3 year relaxation on upper age limit for obc and of 5 years for sc/st category
