"Sustainable and Accelerated Adoption of efficient Textiles to help small industries", aka SAATHI, was launched by the Union of Ministry of Power and Textiles. Under this scheme, the power loom sector which is an unorganised sector in India has been given an opportunity to upgrade their technology. The government launched these technologies for upgradation of plain power looms as a part of power tax India scheme. The Micro and macro units use this obsolete technology to enhance their work.
It is initiated by the Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) which is the public sector organisation working under the control of the Ministry of Power. It provides energy-efficient power looms, motors, and Rapier Kits in bulk to the small and medium Power loom units at no cost.
Using these equipments results in saving of energy and cost to the unit owner, and also the owner could also repay their installments to EESL easily.
EESL has also worked in other sectors like LED bulbs, electric vehicles, and Smart meters, etc.
The main motive of this implementation is to reduce the capital cost and benefits will pass to all the power loom units so that their payments and period will reduce.
The unit owner is not required to budget any capital expenses In order to purchase equipment through this Scheme.
Additionally, he need not budget additional funds for repayment.
The repayments which are made from savings accumulate as a result of cost savings and the use of equipment with higher efficiency.
This kind of efficient equipment will help in cost saving.
The SAATHI helps in improving textile technologies.
This helps in the investment of small businesses in terms of financial support
This helps in the upgradation of textile technologies.
To enhance the technologies in textile industries the government has launched the SAATHI scheme where the power looms will enhance their work at a low cost and the cost price is zero.
It is initiated by the Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a public sector company working under the control of the Ministry of Power.
Apart from textile work, the ESSL works in other sectors like LED bulbs, electric vehicles, and Smart meters, etc.
