Children's University, Gandhinagar was established in 2009, with the motive to develop research skills to provide uniqueness, inclination and speciality in different fields to students. Children's Research University Gandhinagar is a state university, offering courses in the fields of Science, Nutrition, Social Work and Philosophy. 

The courses at the university campus include PGD, MSW, MA, M.Sc. and PhD. PhD courses are offered in various specialities such as PhD Mathematics, PhD Sanskrit, PhD Physics, PhD Psychology, and others. Admissions to PG programmes are offered on the basis of merit, through registration on the Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS) portal. For PhD courses, candidates are required to appear for the university-level PhD Entrance Test (PET).
